FingerTech Black Adder Kit

• Black Adder is one of the most decorated beetleweights of all time. It held the #1 ranked Beetleweight spot worldwide for two years straight, scoring 5 Golds, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze in its 8 attended events.  It retired with a 91% W:L record, but now it's back in kit form!  Build your own Black Adder and blast those other bots into the ceiling!

• No cutting or drilling required!
• This robot does require soldering. Quick connectors are fine in Antweights, but Beetleweights experience forces high enough to pop connectors right off of things. If you are stepping up to the 3lb class, soldering is a highly recommended skill to learn.

Recommended Tools:
- Use a cordless drill with #2 Phillips bit for the chassis screws. Set the clutch as light as it will go - they do not need to be cranked tight
- #00 Phillips Screwdriver and Needle Nose Pliers
- Two 1/2" Wrenches to tighten weapon shaft nut
- Medium strength Threadlocker for all machine screws
- "Helping Hands" alligator clamping arms for holding wires while soldering
- Heat Gun for shrink tubing

Weapon Assembly:	The weapon uses our 3lb Beater Bar Assembly with matching 3lb Beater Bar Electronics. Developed and used by three #1 ranked champion robots (from USA, UK, and Canada), this weapon really packs a punch! To achieve an asymmetric shape, use two teeth on the outer holes of one side, and two on the inner holes of the other side. This increases bite, saves weight, and gives you four spare teeth! Weapon Electronics:	The weapon is coupled to the S2838 Brushless Inrunner Motor via a 15T Timing Pulley and a 67T Kevlar-reinforced Timing Belt. Power is supplied by a MB30020 ESC that can supply the large inrush currents required by the powerful inrunner motor. The included 3S lipoly battery will spin this Beater Bar up to 16k RPM. That's 125MPH tip speed!
Drive Motors:	Our Mega Spark Brushless Gearmotors have an incredibly strong 6mm shaft. Includes 8x M3-0.50x5 Socket Head Screws (4 per motor) for mounting.
Motor Controllers:	A Catalyst MK1 contains an AFHDS2 receiver with weapon channel output, Invert control, and two mixed brushless AM32 custom-FTR-firmware drive motor outputs.
Motor Mounts:	One pair of Carbon Fibre Mega Spark Mounts are a strong and easy way to securely hold drive motors in the sidewalls. The necessary screws are included.
Wheels:	One pair of 2.50x0.75" Foam Wheels are lightweight, grippy, and cushion impacts.
Wheel Hubs:	One pair of 6mm x 0.75" Twist Hubs and Twist Hub Key.
Power Switch:	FingerTech Mini Power Switch
Battery Connector:	XT60 male connector
Battery:	3S (11.1V) 850mAh "Galaxy" lipoly pack.
Wires:	Red 16ga wire for joining the XT60 to the Mini Switch, and creating a small pigtail for the Catalyst MK1 and weapon ESC to join onto. Black 16ga wire for the negative side of things, except no power switch in that line. Includes 20cm lengths of each plus heatshrink.

NightWing Frame Parts:	Frame Parts: All parts are CNC machined with every pilot hole pre-drilled. No cutting or finishing required. - Back panel, weapon rails, and wheel guards: UHMW Polyethylene is easy to work with and absorbs impacts very well.
