• PETG plastic (aka co-polyester / co-poly, Vivak®) is wonderful for machining. It cuts and drills very smoothly. While listed as 70% the strength of polycarbonate, PETG is more tough and won't shatter as easily when hit on edge. Plus, it can be cut by a laser!
