• No cutting or drilling required!
• This robot does require soldering. Quick connectors are fine in Antweights, but Beetleweights experience forces high enough to pop connectors right off of things. If you are stepping up to the 3lb class, soldering is a highly recommended skill to learn.

Recommended Tools:
- Use a cordless drill with #2 Phillips bit for the chassis screws. Set the clutch as light as it will go - they do not need to be cranked tight.
- #00 Phillips Screwdriver and Needle Nose Pliers
- Medium strength Threadlocker for all machine screws.
- "Helping Hands" alligator clamping arms for holding wires while soldering

Includes:

Weapon Assembly:	The weapon uses our 3lb Undercutter Assembly with matching 3lb Undercutter Electronics. This weapon system has been refined over years of combat and it has proven itself to be extremely robust without breaking the bank. The 3/4" weapon shaft is contained by a high performance roller bearing that dissipates the impact forces over a large area. A Gr8 Hex Bolt transmits torque and holds the stack together via a threaded bore in the 42T Timing Pulley.
Weapon Electronics:	The weapon is coupled to the F4006 Brushless Motor via a custom 30T Timing Pulley and a 67T Kevlar-reinforced Timing Belt to prevent off-axis shocks from reaching the motor. Power is supplied by a BL40A ESC running AM32 firmware for smooth response and reliably fast spin ups.
Weapon Disc:	The standard weapon included is our 10inch x 0.125 AR500 disc. For even faster spin-up and a greater chance of gliding around the arena with blade vertical (trust us, it's very entertaining!), grab our 10inch x 3mm Titanium disc. Paired with a 3S lipoly battery this weapon will spin up to 8k RPM. That's 240mph tip speed!
Drive Motors:	Our Mega Spark Brushless Gearmotors have an incredibly strong 6mm shaft. Includes 8x M3-0.50x5 Socket Head Screws (4 per motor) for mounting.
Motor Controllers:	2x BL40A AM32 Reversing ESCs translate the radio commands into smooth brushless motor movement, and 1x 5V Regulator powers the receiver.
Motor Mounts:	One pair of Carbon Fibre Mega Spark Mounts are a strong and easy way to securely hold drive motors in the UHMW sidewalls. The necessary screws are included.
Wheels:	One pair of 2.75x0.75" Foam Wheels keep the weapon disc level to the floor and cushion impacts.
Wheel Hubs:	One pair of 6mm x 0.75" Twist Hubs and Twist Hub Key.
Power Switch:	FingerTech Mini Power Switch
Battery Connector:	XT60 male connector
Battery:	3S (11.1V) 1000mAh "Galaxy" lipoly pack.
Wires:	Red 16ga wire for joining the XT60 to the Mini Switch, and creating a small pigtail for the weapon ESC and tinyESCs to join onto. Black 16ga wire for the negative side of things, except no power switch in that line. Includes 20cm lengths of each plus heatshrink.
Screw Pack:	NightWing Screw Pack includes: - 2pcs M2 x 16mm Flat Head Phillips Screws and Nuts for mounting the Mini Switch. - 49x Button Head Thread-Forming Screws #6x1/2" - 4x Button Head Thread-Forming Screws #6x1"

If you require a battery charger, the C6D Lipoly Charger is economical and small - great for carrying to events.

Radio:

A radio transmitter and receiver are required. If you don't have them already, we recommend the T6A Radio Transmitter and TR6A receiver (Transmitter requires 8 AA batteries.)
An included Programming Cable can be used to reprogram the functions on the transmitter. FingerTech's radios come programmed for mixed driving on the right stick and weapon throttle on the left (this is most common) but if you prefer tank-style 2-stick driving you will need to reprogram.

It spends more time driving on its weapon than it does on its wheels!

Even without wheels it still manages to drive around the arena! One thing is for sure: either Nightwing or its opponent is going to be launched out of the arena before the fight is over.

This is a pit clearing robot

Nightwing: It somehow manages to keep mobility with no working wheels, I need to have a special attachment for all of my robots to fight it, and I'm sure it's given someone hearing damage when it does its signature dance on the arena floor. I love it, keep bringing it back.

I've been fighting against this robot for quite a few years now, and I'm always impressed and amazed at how resilient and reliable it is. It is also extremely entertaining to watch due to the gyro forces from the huge weapon.

#6 x 0.5in Phillips Plastite Screws (25pcs) - 5.63 CAD

- These screws are what you need for fastening baseplates, top plates and armor to UHMW and 3D-printed frames, or for fastening motor mounts onto sidewalls.

- These will not back out of plastics, unlike machine screws in metal that require threadlocker.

Flysky T6A 2.4GHz 6-Channel Radio Transmitter - 52.25 CAD

The simple Flysky "T6A" 2.4GHz Transmitter is an excellent radio for robotics. Six channels lets you control all sorts of add-ons!
There is a knob and switch for both Channels 5 and 6. This allows you to set a motor speed or servo position, then switch it on to that preset position.

• AFHDS frequency hopping protocol. No crystals to buy, and no need to worry about other radios interfering with your robot.
• One stick has spring return on both axes, the other has a ratchet for the up/down axis.
