- Are you tired of removing your Playable Battle Robot's armor every time you want to turn it on or off, or when you need to recharge the battery?

- Does your NiCad battery not last as long as you'd like? We have found that the EBL 9V 600mAh Li-ion Rechargeable Batteries have more than enough juice to power your robot for far longer! Plus it has a longer shelf life so you won't have to charge the robot before playing with it.

- This PBRK 9V Charge Switch replaces the robot's NiCad battery with a 9V clip, AND makes turning the robot on and off as easy as plugging in a connector! Inserting the plug breaks the connection between the Battery and the Robot, turning it off. Plus, at the same time it connects the Battery to the plug's Charge and Ground leads allowing the battery to be charged via the plug!*

- Playable Battle Robot Kits that originally came with a 4.8V NiCad battery will spin their weapons twice as fast on a 9V battery. This may not be desired! We are sourcing a slower weapon motor - stay tuned for announcement of its arrival.

Includes:

- On/Off/Charge Plug with JST-M connector
- On/Off/Charge Jack with PCB connector and 9V connector
- 9V Charger Adapter Cable (for rechargeable 9Vs)

Required:
- This Switch can be used with regular 9V alkaline batteries or rechargeable 9V li-ion batteries! *Do not attempt to recharge an alkaline battery.
- You will need to drill a 6mm or 1/4in hole to mount the switch
- You may want tape to secure the 9V battery in the robot, since it takes up less space than the old NiCad packs did.

Installing the PBRK 9V Charge Switch into your robot:

1. Remove the original NiCad battery and its cable from the PCB.
2. Connect the new On/Off/Charge Jack to the PCB.
3. Connect the 9V battery.

4. Find a convenient spot on the robot for the On/Off/Charge Jack to mount. Consider where you will place the 9V battery!
5. Drill a 6mm or 1/4in hole. Careful not to hit anything important! You may want to partially disassemble the robot to make this step easier.
6. Remove the nut from the jack, insert the jack through the new hole, and tighten the nut back onto it.
7. You may want to tape the 9V battery in place inside the robot.
8. To turn off the robot, simply insert the On/Off/Charge Plug.

Using a Rechargeable 9V Battery in your robot:

Plug the Charge Adapter Cable into your 9V charger. You can keep this always plugged here.
Warning: Because this cable is designed to plug into a 9V Charger and not into a 9V Battery, it has swapped polarity. Do not plug this Charge Adapter Cable into a battery because the output +/- will be reversed.

To charge the robot:
1. Turn off the robot by inserting the On/Off/Charge Plug.
2. Connect the On/Off/Charge Plug to the 9V charger via the Charge Adapter Cable.
