FingerTech Robotics Ltd. is the leading hobby combat robotics parts supplier in North America with customers worldwide. We are a small team of engineers continuously designing and improving our products while handling all small business duties. Our products allow beginners to construct their robots from scratch and be competitive in school tournaments and professional events.

We've recently moved to a new location to expand our current online store's operations, and also offer robotics workshops and parties for local robot enthusiasts.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

We seek a detailed-oriented assistant interested in joining our team in Saskatoon, SK, Canada. The ideal candidate will primarily focus on administrative tasks such as emails, customer service, social media, shipping resolution, website maintenance, and purchase order follow-ups.

Primary role and responsibilities (Including, but not limited to)

  • Sort multiple email inboxes daily
  • Respond to customer inquiries, including technical troubleshooting help
  • Manage sponsorship requests and reports
  • Following up with our manufacturers for timely deliveries
  • Maintain incoming deliveries calendar
  • Recurrent website maintenance for accuracy and minor updates
  • Shipping quotes, rates and late shipments resolutions
  • Help maintain social media accounts
  • Various day-to-day operational tasks (e.g. light cleaning, receiving/unboxing, inventory count)

  • The schedule typically falls between 9am - 6pm on weekdays and is flexible.

  • This role is onsite in Saskatoon. Partial remote work is unlikely but possible in the future.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

We seek enthusiastic and skilled instructors and party facilitators to join our team in Saskatoon, SK, Canada. If you like working with children and are interested in STEAM projects, we might have the job for you!

We will be debuting birthday parties at our location in Saskatoon and need party facilitators. The host acts as the in-house facilitator for the party; they are responsible for setting up before the party, managing the party itself, interacting with children and adults and cleaning up after the party ends.

Primary role and responsibilities (Including, but not limited to)

  • Coordinate combat robotics parties designed for children to young adults
  • Supervise, animate, and lead robot parties (kids or adults)
  • Provide an environment promoting fun and problem-solving while helping participants think creatively and work safely
  • Assemble and maintain the robots
  • Ensure robots, materials, and the studio are ready for upcoming activities
  • Attend and help with trade shows and external events (avg. 5 per year)
  • Bring the energy to the party!

  • Workshops and parties are conducted at our facility in Saskatoon, normally scheduled on evenings, weekends, and school holidays.
  • The position is casual/part-time, starting around 15hrs/week (depending on workload).
  • Aside from parties/workshops, the successful candidate can decide to participate in other business activities according to their skillset and interest. The schedule is flexible and typically falls between 9-4pm on weekdays.

  • This entry-level, part-time position can become full-time upon candidate’s fit and performance.

We seek an enthusiastic and skilled educator to join our team in Saskatoon, SK, Canada. The ideal candidate will run our educational robotics workshops and help with kids' robot parties. The successful candidate for this position should strive to provide children with educational and fun learning experiences and have an interest in STEAM projects.

Primary role and responsibilities (Including, but not limited to)

  • Help develop and maintain the combat robotics workshop curriculum

POSITION DESCRIPTION

We seek a detailed-oriented assistant interested in joining our team in Saskatoon, SK, Canada. The ideal candidate will primarily focus on product assembly, packaging, and online order fulfillment. This position is a hands-on position where you need to use basic power and manual tools. This position involves repetitive work at times yet offers the option to participate in various facets of the company, learn more technical skills, and participate in the more fun and exciting aspects and activites that FingerTech offers.

Primary role and responsibilities (Including, but not limited to)

  • Cut, strip, crimp, and solder wires for assemblies
  • Bag and kit various products
  • Install rivets, screws, setscrews
  • Repair soldered components
  • Help maintain house robots
  • Order fulfillment (picking, packing, shipping)
  • Various day-to-day operational tasks (e.g. light cleaning, receiving/unboxing, inventory count)
