In the fairy weight class, having a compact and dense construction are essential to fitting the most power possible into such a small weight. The TinyESC is the most reliable speed controller I've found of such a small size and weight, and has been used successfully in both MH Robotics fairies. In Mango Farmer (seen here- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sUn1mdaxci8), with the TinyESCs, enough weight and space was saved compared to using a pair of old soz boards that there was enough space in the bot for a relatively massive 15 gram magnet, allowing it to easily dominate the competition in steel floored arenas.FingerTech tinyESC5 15 wins, 0 losses using Tiny ESC'sDennis B - 15th February 2010My antweight robot, Metroid, has been using TinyESC's since they have been available for sale. Metroid now has now fought in 15 matches and has never had an esc fail during combat. Metroid is currently ranked #1 in the Robot Fighting League using FingerTech TinyESC's.Here is a video of Metroid using TinyESC's: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wibs-vcFPqYFingerTech tinyESC5 Work great in Beetleweights too!Dennis B - 15th February 2010I now have these TinyESC's in three of my robots, and they are all working great! I've used small speed controllers from other manufacturers, but the FingerTech TinyESC's have been the most reliable by far. Here is a video of my Beetleweight, Utopia, using TinyESC's to power B16 drive motors with the hotter B62 motors running on 4S lipo (14.8V):http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R3YmVqlBQgUUtopia is currently ranked #1 in the Robot Fighting League using FingerTech TinyESC's.FingerTech tinyESC5 Sooo Small!Dennis Beck - 14th December 2009There are so many benefits to these tiny esc's. Not only do they save weight due to only weighing 4 grams each, but they allow a much smaller robot. I've used a pair to run 4 24:1 16mm ff050 banebots gearmotors on 3S lipo in a 3 lb robot with decent results. They would go into protect mode in a pushing match if used with sticky wheels, but in a full body spinner, they worked just fine. They handle the 17:1 maxons (also sold by Fingertech Robotics) just fine. I've also run B16 beetleweight sized motors (sold by Robotmarketplace.com) on 3S and 4S lipo in a 4WD 3 lb robot with no issues at all.FingerTech tinyESC5 Add very little weightSeth Carr - 31st July 2009I have used these on my past 3 antweight robots. In all of them, I was VERY tight on space. These tucked away into little nooks that no other ESC would have fit. I even used motors from a beetle weight at double the normal voltage, and the TinyESC's worked splendidly. The only downside is that they're independent channels and don't provide mixing, but that's not too much of a problem.FingerTech tinyESC5 Work well and are tiny!Travis S - 12th July 2009After using larger electronics it is very nice to just tuck these away in the corner of my bot and not have to worry about trying to fit the rest of my parts in.FingerTech tinyESC5 Niiice and SmallKevin French - 15th June 2009They worked well in my 1 pound robot. It was easy to shorten the wires. simply cut back the heat shrink half way on the JR connector side and resolder the wires. Also I suggest a tiny piece of heatshrink around the cut back part afterwards. Working well and I will continue to use themClick to review this product Site Map - Client Login - Terms & Conditions - Privacy Policy
